What Makes the Wind Blow?

This website was created as part of a research project for year two of MSU’s MAET program in Plymouth, England. The task for this project was to investigate common misconceptions in people’s understanding of certain topics. We chose to investigate the conceptual understanding of the cause(s) of wind that children and adults in general have. Are these concepts based in scientific fact or do they reflect each individual’s own understanding and beliefs? Are there common misconceptions and do they form any definite pattern(s)?

After considering previous research and formulating questions we conducted our own research in the form of video interviews. On this site you will find a video of the interviews and our interpretation of the results.
